  4. How do I renew my domain name registration?
  5. Aloak will notify you when your Domain Name Registration is up for renewal. To ensure the efficient renewal of your Domain Name Registration, please ignore any other notification you may receive regarding the renewal of your Domain Name Registration.

Aloak DOES NOT withhold your multi-year renewal fees and pay them to the Registry annually.

Automatic Renewal - 1 Year Term

Aloak will immediately renew your domain registration with the Registry automatically for a term of 1 year on the anniversary of your domain name registration term, as per the terms and conditions of the Aloak Registrant Agreements, CA Domains, section 2.8, and International Domains, section 3a. No action is required by you to ensure that your Domain Name Registration is renewed.

Renew For More Than One Year

You can renew your Domain Name Registration for more than one year, or instruct Aloak not to renew your Domain Name Registration by clicking here, or by responding to the registration renewal notification sent in email by Aloak at when it is time to renew your Domain Name Registration.

The following procedure describes the steps involved in renewing Domain Name Registrations for more than one year.

    1. Notification of Domain Name Registration Renewal

37 days prior to the renewal date for your Domain Name Registration, Aloak will send an email to the customer of record, advising that it is time to renew the Domain Name Registration by the indicated renewal date.

    2. Renew My Domain Name Registration

To renew the Domain Name Registration, either respond to the email notification of renewal by clicking on the bolded link in that email which directs you to the registration renewal web site, or visit the registration renewal website by clicking on links available on Aloak's website at various places.

        A) If you arrived at the renewal website by way of a renewal notice email your Domain Name and Aloak LoginName will automatically appear in the input fields for Domain and LoginName, otherwise, simply enter the name of the Domain Name for the registration you want to renew and Aloak LoginName into the input fields.

If you have forgotten your Aloak Password, make sure you check the box which says 'Email me my login name and password' before you click on 'CONTINUE'. Check your email to obtain your password.

Once you are ready to enter your Aloak Password into the Password field, make sure the box which says 'Email me my login name and password' is not checked.

Enter your Aloak Password into the Password input box and click 'CONTINUE' to gain access to the renewal utility.

        B) After you gain access to the renewal utility, you will be able to select the number of registration years to renew your Domain Name Registration.

To minimize the requirement to have you complete the registration renewal process in the future, the maximum renewal years allowed by the Registry for registration renewals is preset. On each anniversary of your registration, Aloak will automatically pay the required registry fees to the Registry on your behalf until the term you have purchased expires.

To renew your domain name for the selected number of years, click the 'GO' button beside the desired payment method.

        C) After clicking 'GO' to indicate you wish to proceed with renewing your Domain Name Registration for the selected years and payment method, you may review the charges presented and cancel this renewal request if you made a mistake in any previous selections. Otherwise, by clicking 'CONTINUE', you will be presented with a confirmation of your renrenewal request and an email will be sent to the email address of the customer account of record for the Domain Name Registration.

    3. Do Not Renew My Domain Name Registration

To indicate that you do not wish to renew your Domain Name Registration:

        A) If you have recieved notification of renewal via email, click on the bolded link which directs you to the registration renewals utility, as in 2. above, otherwise, enter the name of the Domain Name and your Aloak LoginName.

If you have forgotten your Aloak Password, check the box which says 'Email me my login name and password' and click 'CONTINUE'. Check your email to retrieve your Aloak Password.

Once you are ready to enter your Aloak Password, make sure the box which says 'Email me my login name and password' is not checked. Enter your Aloak Password and click on 'CONTINUE' to gain access to the renewal utility.

        B) To indicate that you do not wish to renew your Domain Name Registration, click on the GO button beside 'Do not renew'. Aloak will record your instruction not to renew your Domain Name Registration and will send an email to the registered Administrative Contact for your Domain Name indicating your request not to renew the registration.
